Summary: These needles work well for a variety of beading projects. They are sturdy, flexible and easy to thread.
I have been making jewelry for myself, as gifts and to sell for many years. Much of the jewelry I make is made with beads. I recently picked up a package of these Beadalon Big Eye Needles after I got fed up with many failed attempts at threading some of my other needles.
These needles come in a package of 4 needles that are 2.25 inches long. They are made from high-tensile stainless steel Beadalon wire. They are strong, yet flexible enough to easily string beads individually or from a beading tray. One of the best features of these needles though is the big eye design. The eye actually covers much of the length of the needle, and the flexibility of these needles makes it easy enough for nearly anyone to thread without a problem. If you have poor eyesight or unsteady hands like me, you will really appreciate these needles.
These are a great size for many projects. According to the manufacturer, this needle fits all sizes of bead cord and is very flexible. Obviously I haven't tried every type of wire and cord to test this out but I have used them on a variety of materials with no problems. The needle easily handles anything from size .005 thread to multiple sizes of beading wire and cords that I have tried. They work well for many types of beads as well. I have used them for a variety of seed beads and small bicone beads as well as for larger beads, and never had any problems. They worked well for all projects I have used them on, and saved me a lot of time that was previously spent trying to get some of my other needles threaded.
I recommend these needles for anyone who enjoys beadwork. They work well for a variety of projects and are easy to thread, even for those with poor eyesight or unsteady hands. I have been very pleased with this purchase and I think you will be too.
