(Product Review) Ohuhu 100 Feet Garden Hose/ Expandable Hose with Brass Ends

Spring is finally here, and I can get out and start preparing my garden. I got this Ohuhu 100 Feet Garden Hose/ Expandable Hose with Brass Ends so that I can more easily reach the further areas of my yard and garden.

If you have ever needed to lug a heavy garden hose across the yard, only to find that you had no water because of kinks in the hose, you will truly appreciate the convenience of this hose. It is lightweight so I can carry it to the desired location with ease.

Filling the hose with water expands this 34 foot hose to the full 100 foot length needed to reach some of the further areas. Once the garden is watered, I can simply turn off the faucet and my hose will shrink back to the original 34 foot length for easy storage.

I haven't had this hose for very long, but have been enjoying the convenience of being able to reach needed locations without the bulk and struggle that I have had with some of the other hoses I have used. I will be using this a lot throughout the gardening season.

I am hoping that I never need to use the Tourniquet - Combat Application Tourniquet - Hunting and Hiking - First Aid - the Windlass Increase Blood Vessel Pressure - Enhance Your Survival Kit with Military Issue CAT Tourniquets by Ari-ale-tools, but wanted one for my emergency first aid kit in case it is ever needed in a survival or other emergency situation.

Thankfully, I have never needed to use a tourniquet for such a situation, however I feel that it is important to know how to use one before you need it and have to try to figure it out in an emergency situation. This is especially true since there are no instructions included with the tourniquet.

I had learned how to use one during first aid classes I had taken years ago, so had a basic idea, and a quick how-to is included in the product description, but in a real life situation it would be better to know how to use it properly. Definitely not a deal breaker, but just my thoughts as to how it might be improved.

In any case, this tourniquet is light weight, so could easily be carried in your first aid kit or bugout bag, but appears to be sturdy enough to do the job if needed. Even though I did take it out of the package and put it on lightly, I did not cinch it down as I would in a real medical emergency. I feel that repeated uses of such a product might eventually weaken it, so I will save the real tightening down for a real emergency. Even though I hope to never need to use this, I feel better just knowing that it is in my emergency kit.

(Product Review) Quit Nutrition from The Quit Company, LLC

I ordered the Quit Nutrition from The Quit Company, LLC because I am a believer in natural supplements. The serving size is one tablet, and there are 30 tablets in the bottle. This supplement should be taken once daily, preferably in the morning, with food.

It is intended to supplement you with those vitamins that are depleted by smoking, which in turn helps to eliminate nicotine cravings. Keep in mind though that no matter what supplement you take, it isn't an instant cure. You have to actually want to quit, or nothing is going to get you there.

These supplements are a bit larger than some others, but I was able to take them without any trouble. Since I have been taking them I have felt a bit less stress, but I haven't been taking them long enough to tell if they work as described. I plan to continue with the bottle though, and will return and update if my opinion changes.

I have used several different electronic pest repellents in the past, but am always happy to try another one, so I ordered STAR Ultrasonic Pest Repeller, Pest Control Repellent - Effectively Reject Roaches, Spiders, Mosquitoes, Rodents, Ants, And Other Insects.

I haven't had the problem with mice that I usually have every year. I am not sure whether it is the combination of various remedies I have tested and reviewed here, or if there is another reason. I also haven't had nearly the ant problem I usually have, but we will see once summer arrives whether they come back.

The one pest that I have had issues with are fruit flies. They seem attracted to some of my plants, and it appears that I have also brought a few home on some fresh fruits I recently purchased.

Even though there seem to be less of them around, I still have some stubborn ones who insist on hanging around my seedlings. It could be that I haven't had this very long yet, because it says that it will drive them out of the house in a few weeks.

It seems to be doing a good job, but I will know for sure in a couple more weeks whether or not it will eliminate the rest of them. I have high hopes for this product and would recommend it to others. I will update if my opinion changes over time.

I use resistance bands at physical therapy sessions regularly, and these Loop Resistance Bands by Live Infinitely Large 14" x 3" Design Set of 5 (3-35 LBS) help me to keep up with my exercises at home as well. 

I like that the set comes with such a good variety, because I can choose just the right resistance for whichever exercise I need to do. They range from light to extra extra heavy resistance, so I can choose how much resistance I need for a particular activity. 

For instance, I am using the green band for one of my leg exercises. This is the perfect resistance to help strengthen my injured knee without being too much for me to do. If my knee heals enough to move onto the next level, I would then go to the blue, extra heavy resistance.

I recently bought these Ph Test Strips for Saliva & Urine By Blupure and have been using them to test the pH levels in a few areas. First, to check my own pH levels. 

You can do this either by testing your urine or by testing your saliva. If you suffer from diabetes, joint pain, arthritis or osteoporosis, or if you want to track your pH for other health reasons, these pH test strips are a great tool. 

You can also use them for other pH testing besides using them on yourself though. I have tried them in my aquarium, and my aquaponics setup. They work great to test things like water, soil, foods, and more. 

There is even a bonus alkaline food chart and daily tracking sheet included, which makes it easy to tell at a glance whether or not you need to take steps to adjust your pH levels. 

The results from this strip are much quicker than some of the others I have used. It only takes about 15 seconds and the results appear to be accurate. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend these to others.

The MeasuPro Automatic Smart Sensor 3D Pedometer Fitness Tracker with 30 Day Memory, Clip-On Holder, Lanyard and Large Display has many really great features, and I thought I would really love it. I wanted to get a pedometer to help me keep track of my walking in an effort to lose weight.

I found this pedometer difficult to set, only because the modes are in such a small font that I could not read them. I had trouble setting some of the things up because I couldn't really tell what mode I was in at times.

Once I finally got it set up, I started looking over the directions for use in the manual, and wasn't sure if this would work for me at all. It says that it may not record your steps if you walk irregularly or very slowly, or if you are wearing sandals, among other things. This means that it probably isn't going to measure a good amount of steps that I take in a day.

Think about it... How even are your steps when walking a dog? Do you ever start and stop again while walking the dog? What about grocery shopping? My steps in the grocery store are only going to count if I don't stop to pick up any groceries, and if nobody blocks my path so I can keep walking steadily...

I have tested it on a few very short walks. It counted 65 steps to let my dog outside, but did not count the steps I took to the other end of the house. Perhaps I walked faster when she wanted to go outside, and it may not have counted the slower steps while I walked to the bathroom myself? It did count the steps when I came back from the bathroom though, so I'm still trying to determine what it and is not being counted. I know that it is counting at least some of my activity, and probably would track it better if I were a bit more steady with my walking. I am still trying to determine just how accurate it is.

I will continue to test this before making my final recommendation, but for now I still think it would be good for those who might walk regular walks and try to keep track. Even for me, it is better than trying to count my steps without a pedometer. Once I get it figured out a bit better, I might get a bit more accuracy out of it for my own walking too.

The watch is made from 100% bamboo with a genuine leather band. It is very stylish and beautiful. It has an analog face, with marks where the 12 numbers would be, and a sweep second hand. 

It has an oversized face which is great for men, but depending on the woman, this would also be great for us. I personally love it and think that it looks just as nice on my wrist as most of the watches that were advertised as ladies watches.

I have used a variety of rolling pins over the years, including ones made of wood and ones made from plastic. This RollerMaster Rolling Pin - Non-Stick & Zero Maintenance - French Metal Stainless Steel Construction (Non Marble Pins)  [Gift Packaging] by RollerMaster is the first stainless steel rolling pin I have used.

This rolling pin works great for my baking needs. The stainless steel construction is solid, yet not too heavy. I have used some of the wooden ones that would tire my arms quickly because of the weight. I don't have that problem with this one. It isn't as light weight as some of the plastic ones, but that isn't a bad thing either.

It is sturdy so I don't need to worry about it falling apart like one of the other rolling pins I have owned. The foods don't stick nearly as much on this as they do on some of the others. There are no grooves for the dough to get stuck in.

Cleaning it is very easy, either by tossing it in the dishwasher or by hand washing. I like that you can stick it in the freezer for a little while before rolling out dough and it will help to keep your dough chilled. You can also stick it in a bit of warm water if you need a warm rolling pin. I haven't tried this, since mostly the chilled rolling pin works better for my needs.

It also comes in a nice box if you want to give it as a gift, but I wanted to keep it for myself. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this rolling pin to others.

I love using a variety of essential oils for many purposes. Lavender is one of my favorite essential oils, and I use it a lot. I was happy to have the opportunity to test this Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil with a Glass Dropper - Big 4 fl. oz - 100% Pure and Natural Lavender Oil with Premium Quality & Therapeutic Grade because with a full 4 ounce bottle I can get a lot of uses from it. 

I found out quickly that Bulgarian Lavender is not the same as the Lavender oils I am used to. It still has a great smell, but not quite what I am accustomed to. I have been using it just as I would have used regular lavender oil though, and it seems to be quite similar other than the scent being noticeably different. 

I have used it in bath bombs, homemade lotions, soaps, candles, massage oils and more. It works great in my difusser too, and fills the room with a lovely scent. I love that this comes in an amber colored bottle to protect the product from damaging light. 

The glass dropper is great too because it allows me to add exactly the right amount of essential oil to my blend without worrying about spilling or adding too much. 

I often mix this with a carrier oil in one of my roller bottles and bring it along wherever I go. Lavender essential oil is great for so many things including stress and anxiety, depression, migraines and more.

(Product Review) Melatonin Strawberry Gummies Sleep and Relaxation from MaritzMayer Laboratories

I have always had trouble sleeping for as long as I can remember. My mom has taken a melatonin supplement and suggested that I might want to try it. I decided that it was worth a try and purchased these Melatonin Strawberry Gummies Sleep and Relaxation from MaritzMayer Laboratories.

The bottle contains 60 gummies, and the directions say that you should chew 2 gummies at bedtime or as directed by your physician. I thought it would be more beneficial to take them a little bit before bedtime so I would not need to lie awake waiting to see if they did anything, so I took them about 30 minutes before I was ready to go to bed.

I opened the bottle, and really didn't care for the smell of these gummies. These say that they have natural flavoring, although it didn't taste much like a real strawberry to me. I am not the biggest fan of strawberry flavorings though, and others may like the taste better than I did. Still, they weren't too bad, just not as good tasting as I had hoped.

After chewing the two gummies, I waited for a while and did begin to feel more relaxed. Even while taking these I am not sleeping well, but then again the prescription sleep aids aren't working much better.

I think that these are helping to some extent, and since nothing else is working either, I can't blame it on the gummies. I will continue to test these further, and hope for a good night's sleep soon.

Although I don't allow smoking in my car, there are times when one of my kids borrows the car and lights up without thinking about it. I also travel with pets and little kids at times. Even a quick stop at a fast food restaurant can leave a lingering odor in the car. 

This air freshener isn't like the others I have used in my car. It doesn't have a scent, and leaves no lingering odor of it's own to mask the foul odors in the car. Instead, the activated charcoal in this air freshener absorbs the odors naturally.

I have no problem with the looks of it in the back seat either, but if someone did, they could tuck it under the seat instead. Just know that it will be more effective if it is out there where the odors are. 

This is intended to absorb odors for at least a full year. It is suggested that you should place it in direct sunlight for an hour or so every few months to help maintain the most effectiveness possible. I don't think this will be a problem since I often park in sunny areas. With this hanging on the back of the seat it should get all the direct sunlight it needs. 

I really like that my car doesn't have all the funky smells in it now, and none of the artificial scents that bother my asthma that some of the other air fresheners have. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product to others.
