(Product Review) Pink 2-Way High Quality Bath Hair Catcher Stopper Drain Filter Trap Sink Strainer by Prestige Ind.

I have long hair which often ends up in the drain when showering, so I bought the Pink 2-Way High Quality Bath Hair Catcher Stopper Drain Filter Trap Sink Strainer by Prestige Ind. to try to help with the problem.

This pink silicone disk fits nicely over the bathtub drain and helps to catch my shedding hair before it goes down the drain. The hair catcher can be placed either direction so the dome goes down into the drain area or comes up above it. This makes it nice because it makes it so that it works with more drain styles.

It is made from silicone so there will not be any rusting like there has been in the past from some of the wire mesh drain hair catchers that I have used. It also stays in place no matter how hard the water pressure is at the time. Some of the other similar products I have purchased just floated away when the water came on.

The heart shaped holes are a good size. They are large enough to allow the water to flow through them freely, yet small enough to do a good job of catching hair before it can clog the drain. It may slow the water drainage down slightly, but so do the hair clogs that it prevents. It does not seem to slow the drainage down significantly in my tub, although I suppose it depends on your water flow and drainage of individual tubs.

This will also be great for giving dogs a bath because they tend to shed a lot and can clog up a bathtub drain in a big hurry, so using this will prevent much of that problem.

Since there are more males than females around my house, I would not have chosen a pink hair stopper if given a color choice, but since it doesn't have to be a permanent bathroom fixture the color really isn't that important. Still, a color choice would have been nice.

Overall, this hair catcher does as it is supposed to do by helping to keep my drain clear, so I would recommend it to anyone who either has longer hair or uses their bathtub or sink to bathe their furbabies.
