I like to use a backseat organizer such as this Premium Backseat Organizer for Kids whenever I take my grandchildren for a ride.
This is easy to install, and has lots of pockets to hold all sorts of goodies for the kids. It has a big mesh pocket on top, as well as a full width pocket on the bottom and several smaller pockets for carrying a large variety of items for the kids. You could fit everything your kids might need into this extra large organizer.
It also serves well to protect the back of your seat from little feet. It feels very sturdy, and I believe that it is going to last a very long time. I am very happy with this backseat organizer and would recommend it to others.
