(Product Review) Mclintech 5-in-1 Tire Gauge and Emergency Tool

This McLintech 5 In 1 Tire Pressure Gauge features a Safety Hammer, Flashlight, Seatbelt Cutter, Red Safety Light and Tire Pressure Gauge, all housed in one easy to carry device. 

I own a couple of other tire pressure gauges as well, but none of my other ones come with so many features as this one does. This digital tire pressure gauge displays tire pressure in four different units of measurement including psi, bar, kpa, or kgf/cm2. I have only used the psi because this is the standard that I am accustomed to, but did switch through the others just to test how changing the settings worked. It was easy to do so even those with no prior experience with this type of gadget could easily figure it out even without instructions. The gauge reads your tire pressures ranging from 3-150 PSI in .5 PSI increments and appears to be accurate according to other gauges I have compared this with. 

In addition to the tire pressure gauge, this device also comes with a built in flashlight and red safety light which could really come in handy in the event of a breakdown along the road. I have been stranded more than once and can tell you that it is no fun being broke down along the road with no lights. This is especially true if for some reason you are not able to get your car a safe distance from traffic. 

The other two safety features included on this device are a seat belt cutter and a safety hammer. While I hope to never have to use either of these, I do find it reassuring to know that I have one within easy reach in my car. 

Someone I know rolled her truck a few years ago and was trapped upside down in a ditch filled with water. Luckily, the water wasn't so deep as to drown her, but if she had one of these devices she could have cut the seatbelt and broken the window to get out of the truck herself instead of waiting for someone to come along down the deserted back road where her accident had happened. She came out of it with no severe injuries, but if the water had been deeper, a device such as this could have saved her life. 

This device is mostly made of a heavy duty plastic, with some metal parts such as the cutting blade and safety hammer. It feels very sturdy and feels comfortable in my hand. The tire pressure gauge is powered by an included CR2032 lithium battery. You will need to purchase an AAA battery for the flashlight because this one is not included with the device. 

I think that this 5 in 1 digital tire pressure gauge is an important addition to any car toolkit, because it could come in handy in little emergencies, or even save a life in circumstances such as the one described above.
