(Product Review) Aleratec Universal 4 Tablet Charging Organizer Rack Desktop Stand Holder for iPad and Android Tablets

I ordered this Aleratec Universal 4 Tablet Charging Organizer Rack Desktop Stand Holder for iPad and Android Tablets to keep our tablets and other devices more organized while using one of our multiport chargers. Using this allows me to keep up to 4 tablets in a small area of my desk while charging, which keeps the desk and the cables neater instead of being sprawled out all over the desk.

As others have said, this tablet organizer is made of plastic, which makes it very lightweight. The plastic does feel sturdy and has some give to it, so I don't expect that it will break easily unless you toss it on the floor and step on it or something.

Being so lightweight could possibly be a disadvantage with larger tablets, although it worked out fine for us since we only used it for 7 inch tablets so far. There is a particular order you should follow (as explained in the product description) when placing your tablets in or removing your tablets from this organizer. If you follow the directions it is not as likely to tip. That said, I also would recommend placing it next to a wall if possible, or at the very least near something that could cushion the fall if it were to be accidentally knocked over since I never know if kids or pets might come along and not be quite as careful with the tablets as I am.

Also, it might be wise to place this on some sort of a non-skid surface since the bottom is smooth and could potentially slide if placed on another smooth surface. I haven't personally had any problems with either of these issues so far, but mention this for others who may find these issues with their own devices.

One thing I was concerned with was the width of the slots. They are fairly wide, but I wasn't certain if my tablet would fit into the slots with the case on. The slots are approximately 1 3/16 inches wide in the inner part so it worked out well even with the case so this is definitely a plus. I really didn't want to remove it from the case for charging every time, and with this I don't need to.

I like this organizer for standing up to 4 tablets side by side on my desk, because it does save space. It works well for two of the 7 inch tablets, plus the Kindle and my grandson's Nobi. It takes up no more space to place them all in this organizer rack than it would to stack them in a pile on the desk, and it not only looks better but is also less likely to scratch any of the screens.
