Accounting: For Small Businesses QuickStart Guide - Understanding Accounting For Your Sole Proprietorship, Startup, & LLC (Small Business, Entrepreneurship, Starting a Business) by ClydeBank Business is a good starting point for those who know little to nothing about accounting and are thinking of starting their own small business. 

There is quite a bit of useful information in the book, although definitely not everything you should know about the whole accounting process. It reminded me somewhat of my high school bookkeeping classes that I took many years ago. the writing is a bit small, and there are several chapters as well as some charts and graphs. This book could help you to get started in the right direction, although you will probably want to follow up with more in depth accounting information.
